Description: Friends and family honored local centenarian Margaret Randle Smith during a reception on her 100th birthday at First Christian Church on Jan. 9. Smith was born in a small house in the 700 block of South Church Street in 1916 to Fred Carney Barnett and Eunice Jelks Barnett.
