University police on the Arkansas State University-Jonesboro campus are investigating a robbery and attempted sexual assault which occurred Thursday evening, July 1, on the west side of campus. At 10:18 p.m., University Police Department (UPD) officers responded to a call from a residence on Academic Circle regarding the incident. University police issued an emergency alert shortly after the report, and then followed up with an update at approximately 4:45 a.m. Friday morning.

UPD officers have posted security notices throughout campus encouraging campus residents to use caution and remain alert to their surroundings when entering and exiting homes, especially at night.
