Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and taking advantage of it this week!

Today's craft actually happened a few weeks ago during all the rain, but it was so cute that I wanted to share. I've seen it online before, but decided to try it. We made some wooden bracelets! I boiled a few popsicle sticks for about 30 minutes, and then once they were saturated, I began slowly bending them until they would fit into the rim of a small juice glass. I broke several, but eventually, I had a few bent and smoothed enough to fit inside the glass where they sat overnight to dry. Once they were completely dry, we painted them a white to prime because we were using thin very washable paint from Crayola. After they were dry, we painted them more and added details. I wanted to add glue drops with a toothpick and glitter, but I decided we'd wait on that until the girls were older. I eventually hot glued a tiny piece of elastic to each side of London's bracelet because even using the tiniest juice glass we had, it was still a little big for her wrist.

I was actually impressed that it worked so well, though I did have to dip it back in the warm water after manipulating and bending it each time. All in all, the warping took about 5 minutes, so other than the waiting, this fun craft will only take about 10 minutes painting and warping! Well worth an afternoon craft time.
